Goodbye CES, hello Macworld 2008.

Macworld 2008
Sure the Consumer Electronics Show has come and gone, but more gadget/tech news is on the way. This time, it’s Apple’s turn at Macworld 2008. Like many Mac geeks out there, I’m anxiously waiting for Steve’s keynote presentation today at noon (ET). Unfortunately, I can’t be there in person but I’ll be sure to log on to the many blogs that will be posting up-to-the-minute news at the event. I’ll be back later today with some thoughts on news as it unveils.

Happy New Year

I wish everyone who stumbles upon this blog a very healthy and prosperous new year. May it be filled with good health, bright new ideas, and of course plenty of keywords.

What’s in a name?

Funny story…

Had to go to my bank a couple of days ago to dispute some fees and when my info was up on the screen, the teller began siting all my recent transactions to her manager.

Of course GoDaddy comes up a few times and so she looks at me in what can only be describe as a look of disgust and asks: “GoDaddy?” (puzzled looked on her face.) She turns around to talk to her manager and says “He has a bunch of transactions to some place called Go Daddy…long pause…. “I think it’s porn” (she whispers), “what should I do?”

Is it possible she came across this video and jumped to her own conclusions:

Anyways, after a few good laughs (I was the only one laughing) my situation was resolved.

I posted this at NamePros.com and got some pretty funny replies. check it out.

Go-Go-Go Daddy! -pb

While I’ve been at it (domains) now for a little over a year, this blog is new. I have older entries which I will transfer over from my personal private blog in the next few days, but for now you can check out some videos I’ve added as well as the blog’s new logo to the right.

I would love to get some feedback… so give a shout-out anytime. Peace. -pb

A customizable keyboard by Art Lebedev Studios will go on the market come February 2008. Now this is pretty cool, each key is a stand-alone OLED display. The display will show any function you assign to it. The options are endless, different language characters, favorite applications, launch youtube on your favorite browser, maybe launch my blog? – all accessible at the push of a key. Plus check out the name: Optimus Maximus Keyboard! Like I said, very cool. -pb

Frank Schilling is one very knowledgeable guy in the domain industry. Frank, if by chance you ever read this, let’s compare portfolios someday, maybe over coffee? Your place or mine… ok fine – yours. While I pack my bags and wait by the phone for FS to call, why not take a few minutes to hear him speak at the Domain Roundtable 2007. Enjoy! -pb

Web 2.0 Parody Video

Here’s a Web 2.0 video I found on dailymotion.com’s website. It’s funny, a bit overdone but they do mention domains which is why it’s here today. Enjoy! -pb
